Patrick Space Force Base is set to add a pair of substantial modular buildings for STARCOM personnel as the field command relocates from Colorado to Florida's strategically important Space Coast. A future pair of modular buildings for Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) personnel are planned for construction at Patrick Space Force Base in Brevard County, Florida. The construction project involves two modular buildings measuring 22,898 square feet and 22,737 square feet for STARCOM, along with a 133-space parking lot and dry stormwater retention area on a 4.2-acre footprint. The new structures are slated for construction at Patrick SFB in a grassy field west of The Tides Collocated Club, environmental permitting records show. While the specific construction budget for these STARCOM buildings wasn't disclosed in available records, the base has a history of significant infrastructure investments, including a new facility costing $100 to $200 million completed in 2014 and a current $9.7 million South Gate entry control facility project expected to complete mid-2026. This move will accommodate more than 450 personnel, including uniformed Guardians and Airmen, federal civilians and contractors transitioning to establish Florida as a premier hub for space training operations and strategic defense capabilities.
