Psychotic Over Machine Learning

Did you say you don’t have time to listen to a podcast that digs deep? One that makes you think? Well, you might need some help with time management. Scroll down to Continuous Learning.

Monty Python's Life of Brian

Brian grows frantic when people start following him to the mountains, and there they declare him to be the Messiah. After spending a night in bed with Judith, Brian – still naked – discovers an enormous crowd assembled outside his mother's house. Her attempts at dispersing the crowd are rebuffed, so she consents to Brian addressing them. He urges them to think for themselves, but they parrot his words as doctrine. Wait till the end… “A struggle against oppression or with reality.”

I communicate with my active and prospective clients directly,
without third parties controlling our interactions.

I reject external platforms that do not provide clear and transparent language
in their terms of service in a way that is understandable
and does not hide their actual commercial functions or revenue streams.

I refuse to use platforms that use algorithms that target users with harmful content, fake news, and extreme viewpoints or take a holier-than-thou approach to restrict any form of free speech (regardless of how opposed I am to the view of the author) to boost engagement, clicks, and shares.

I refuse to use social media platforms for one-to-one communications.
I can’t for many legal and personal preference reasons.

I use third-party social media websites
for top-of-mind marketing.
And…

Are Harmful to a Civilized Society

I have retired Fixed Cost Financial, Inc. for Truesdell Wealth, Inc. All of my companies will now bear my last name with a single word that describes what that entity does. Truesdell Wealth remains the home of “Fixed Cost Investing℠.”

Never be limited by other people’s limited imaginations. If you adopt their attitudes, the possibility of individual success will never be achieved. Thinking outside the box is not a solution. Instead, begin by rejecting that the box exists in the first place.

Continuous Learning

Moves Fast

In today's fast-paced and ever-evolving world, the need for continuous learning has become more critical than ever before. The growth mindset necessitates a constant learning process, as humans have an innate desire to learn and grow. However, many individuals need to develop daily learning habits, which can result in spending and consumer credit problem.

Beyond Public School

For many, learning has become a chore relegated to public school systems rather than an exciting and life-long journey. On average, knowledge workers only devote five minutes daily to formal learning. This figure is concerning given the current pace of change in our world. The inability to prioritize daily learning can often be attributed to our social living habits, which distract us from dedicating time and energy to personal growth.

Pure Junk

In my opinion, most Americans spend much of the day consuming and disseminating information that is pure junk. Instead, we can make learning almost invisible by making it a part of our daily workflow. By breaking down the learning journey into smaller, simpler, and faster pieces, we can make learning a habit requiring minimal effort but yield significant results. This approach to learning can be a game-changer for those who find themselves strapped for time and unable to dedicate time for formal learning.

Time-Blocking

One effective way to make learning a part of our daily routine is through time-blocking, which involves organizing our day into a series of time slots. This approach is more effective than traditional to-do lists because it forces us to allocate time for tasks that require our attention. In addition, it allows us to be more realistic about the time we have available and focus on what we need to do.

The Right Space

Another critical factor in developing a daily learning habit is finding a suitable learning space. Our workspaces create habits, and changing our environment can shift our perspective and open our minds to formal and informal learning opportunities. Creating a beautiful, stimulating, and inspiring environment can help us get the right learning mindset.

Prioritize Habit Formation

To develop daily learning habits, we need to find the right balance between what is fun and what will significantly impact our work life. We must also be disciplined and create habits that help us complete our learning path successfully. By prioritizing learning, we can develop the skills and knowledge we need to succeed in a world that requires constant adaptation and growth.

Conclusion

Learning is a learned behavior that requires discipline, focus, and dedication. The ability to learn is arguably the most important skill for human beings to develop, and the lack of daily learning habits can have far-reaching consequences. By making learning a part of our daily workflow, we can develop the skills and knowledge we need to succeed in a constantly changing world.
