Anthropic Is a Waste of Money
The challenge with programs like ChatGPT, Anthropic, and others lies in the liberal bias embedded by those controlling the funding. I initially attempted to use such a program to write a novel, reflecting on my experiences in law enforcement during the 70s and 80s. However, I abandoned the effort because the program struggled with the portrayal of the era's language, characters, and situations, especially when these involved sensitive topics like race, gender, or violence. It became clear that accurately depicting those times was nearly impossible within the constraints of the software.
The core issue is that while there are individuals with the financial resources to develop more balanced machine learning systems, many conservatives often focus on discussions that do not lead to concrete actions. As a result, the potential to create a fact-based, unbiased reality through machine learning remains untapped. It's important to note that developing such technology is incredibly costly, though prices are likely to decrease over time.
I recall the technological advancements of the past, like when I traveled from Tampa, Florida, to Atlanta, Georgia, to purchase a 486 computer, and was told it would be the last one I'd ever need due to its incredible power. I laughed the and smirk now. Similarly, the cost of data storage has plummeted from $1 million per megabyte to practically nothing, with thumb drives now capable of holding vast amounts of data for a fraction of the cost. If crackerjack boxes were still a thing you would find them inside.
As data sharing becomes more widespread, privacy concerns will grow, and emerging technologies like drones will play an increasingly significant role, not just in conflicts like the one in Ukraine but also closer to home. The world is rapidly changing, and we must be prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
When it comes to using machine learning or so-called artificial intelligence for writing, the results often fall short. Without extensive editing, the content generated can be flawed, and the accuracy of the information provided is questionable at best.
