Will You Continue to Work in Retirement? Part 9 of 10
Part 9
TEAM Framework
The TEAM framework (Time, Effort, Aggravation, and Money) can be applied to the decision to work in retirement from both a minimization and maximization perspective.
Time: Retirees should aim to maximize the time they spend on activities that bring them joy and fulfillment, while minimizing time spent on unfulfilling or stressful work.
Effort: To maximize the benefits of working in retirement, retirees should focus their efforts on work that aligns with their skills, interests, and values. They should minimize effort spent on tasks that are not essential or do not contribute to their overall well-being.
Aggravation: Retirees should strive to minimize aggravation by seeking out work environments that are supportive, respectful, and conducive to their well-being. They should maximize their ability to handle stress by developing effective coping strategies and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Money: To maximize financial stability, retirees should focus on work opportunities that provide a stable income and align with their long-term financial goals. They should minimize financial stress by creating a comprehensive retirement plan and exploring ways to reduce expenses.
